FAQ

Pearson Onscreen Platform (POP) Support Index  >

Each booking created on Edexcel Online (EOL) requires an outcome. This can be a result produced after uploading a completed test, or a mark of absence to enable the system to permit a new booking to be scheduled.
If a booking is created and an absence is not recorded, a new booking cannot be created.

Please follow the step-by-step process detailed below.

Detailed Instructions
If the test booking has been downloaded

1. Launch the Pearson Offline Dashboard and enter your PIN:

2. Locate the test booking within the list of downloaded test and click the button ‘Mark Absent’. The test will then disappear from the list:

    3. Select the option ‘Pending Upload’ from the menu on the left side of the screen. This will present a list of tests that are awaiting upload. If you have an internet connection when viewing this page, the system will prompt you to upload all completed/absent tests. If you choose not to use this method to upload, you can locate a specific test in the list and click ‘Upload’ to complete this process:

    2. Locate the test booking within the list of available tests, use the first column to select which test you would like to mark as absent and click the button ‘Mark Absent’.
The test will then disappear from the list and reappear on the ‘Completed Exam Bookings’ tab:

If a learner is marked as absent before the test start time or any time in the 24 hour period immediately after the scheduled start, Edexcel Online will allow you to rebook once that 24 hour window has elapsed.

    Example:
A test booked for 9 am on the 1st, and students are marked as absent any time between 9 am on the 1st and 9 am on the 2nd, will only have to wait until after 9 am on the 2nd to be rebooked.
If that 24 hour window has already elapsed, and your centre then marks the learner absent, you will only need to wait a further 2 hours before rebooking another test.

If that 24 hour window has elapsed, and the test booking is marked as absent and uploaded, you will be able to re-book after 2 hours has passed.

If you are still unable to create a booking after 24 hours, please create a case record and a Customer Services Specialist will investigate the issue.
