I no longer have my certificate, how do I obtain a replacement or confirmation of my results?
FAQ

  • For most qualifications we issue a 'Certifying Statement of Results' and not a duplicate of the original certificate.
  • For General Qualifications (e.g. GCSE), if you state the qualification and do not list subjects, we will send all subjects that we have on record for that qualification. Often schools/colleges use various Awarding Bodies in the same year and some/all of your results could be held with other Awarding Bodies.
  • We require one application per qualification for most of our qualifications.
  • We cannot remove subjects that have been awarded from a certificate.

Before You Begin

Before you begin, we advise making your application on a Desktop PC or laptop, not a handheld device such as a mobile phone or tablet.

Please do not use any special characters or symbols.

Verification requests are currently processed under our Standard Replacement Certificate service.

Getting Started - Choosing Your Service

1. To apply, visit Pearson Certificate services.

Alternatively, you can navigate to this page by:

  • Go to qualifications.pearson.com
  • Click the Certificate services button on the right of the page

2. Click the 'Choose a certificate service' button and then select one of the services provided.

The options provided are:

  • Standard Certificate Service
  • Priority Certificate Service
  • Customised Letter 

Choose the service by clicking the appropriate 'View options' button:

3. You will be presented with the delivery options for the chosen service type. Select the option required and the associated price will update.

*For WES applications, we have an agreement with WES to send all results digitally therefore, will refund any courier fees paid.

4. Click 'Add to basket' and you will then see your order and subtotal. Select: Add Details and Pay to continue:

5. If you are a new customer, you will be asked to create a new account.

*Please ensure you provide accurate details to prevent delays with processing your order.

Application Details - Qualification, Centre, and Candidate Information

6. Once your account, billing and delivery details have been updated, you will then be asked to provide details of your requested qualification on our Certificates Application: Qualification Details page.

*We can only process 1 type of qualification per application, if you require more than 1 qualification, please submit new application(s) after completing the current request.

7. Certificates Application: Centre Information

On the next page, please provide as much information about the centre/institution where the qualification was completed with in this section.

*This is not where you live or previously lived.

8. Certificates Application: Candidate Details

On the next page, please confirm if you are the learner or someone else applying on behalf of the learner.

We also require confirmation on if the learner's last name has changed since the time of completing the qualification and, the learner's date of birth.

If you are applying on behalf of the learner, please complete the additional fields required as we may need to contact the learner directly.

Identification Documents and Payment

9. Certificates Application: ID & Documents

On the next page, please submit the identification documents required.

We will require at least one form of ID in English, that evidences the learner's full name, date of birth and the dates of validity of the document (if applicable).

If you are applying on behalf of the learner, do note that we will require two different forms of identification for the learner, and a completed and signed consent form from them.

We do not require the ID of the third-party applying on behalf of the learner.

Acceptable identification documents can be found on the Application information page.

10. Ensure you read and accept our Terms & Conditions which also contains useful information relating to cancellations and refunds.

11. Ensure you review the payment and delivery details before clicking BUY NOW.

12. You will then be directed to the payment page where we only accept Credit or Debit card.

Once completed, click Authorise.

After Submission - What Happens Next

13. Once your payment is successful, you will receive an automated confirmation email.

If not received, please check your junk folder.

You will receive an automated email when the status of your request changes.

If we have any queries about your order, you will receive an automated email advising that your application is on hold, and we will email you from replacementcertificates@pearson.com

Important Information - Processing Times, Prices, and Policies

Processing Times

We aim to dispatch the documents in the following timeframes:

  • Standard applications – 20 working days
  • Priority applications – 5 working days
  • Customised letters – 30 working days

Prices

  • Standard replacement UK certificate - £57
  • Standard replacement certificate International delivery - £77
  • Priority replacement certificate UK delivery - £77
  • Priority replacement certificate International delivery - £98
  • Customised letter UK delivery - £113
  • Customised letter International delivery - £134
  • Additional copies and delivery addresses will be charged in addition and total cost will be displayed upon checkout

Refunds

We only give a partial refund of £20 (plus courier fees where applicable) if you decide to cancel after your application is in process or if we are unable to provide you with a replacement certificate.

The refund is made to the card used to make payment (if the application was made within six months).

Debit/credit card details are deleted from the payment module after six months, so any refunds made after this time may take longer to process and we will require bank details.

  • The priority fee for fast-tracking an application is non-refundable
  • No refund is possible if the results are not suitable (in format or content) for your purposes
  • We do not issue refunds or partial refunds if applications take longer than the estimated time frames

If you decide that you no longer want us to process your application, please contact us as soon as possible via our Student Services.

Once we've begun processing your application, we'll only issue a partial refund of £20 (plus any courier fees) if you decide you no longer require the service.

Any applications over a year old are deleted from our systems to comply with Pearson's privacy policies. We are unable to refund any application over a year old as we are unable to determine the application status.

Cancellations

If you decide that you no longer want us to process your application, please contact us as soon as possible. Once we've begun processing your application, we'll only issue a partial refund of £20 (plus any courier fees) if you decide you no longer require the service.
