Q: I’ve not received an email with the SharePoint folder link.
A: If you haven’t received your link, please see the email/contact details depending on the qualification:
  • BTEC qualifications - btec.traditional@pearson.com
  • T Levels - Traditionalprocessing@pearson.com
  • Functional Skills - Centres should liaise with their dedicated Standards Verifier (SV) if they have not received a link
  • Mock Service - assessmentservices@pearson.com
  • General Qualifications International - internationalcontingency@pearson.com
Q: I have not received the account verification code email when attempting to set up MFA or accessing a folder link.
A: The email with the verification code will be sent from no-reply@sharepointonline.com, to your registered Edexcel Online email address within a few seconds of you clicking on ‘Send Code’. If you have not received anything after a few seconds, please check the following points:
  • Did you enter the correct email address in the ‘Verify Your Identity’ field.
  • Please check your junk/spam folders.
  • Add account-security-noreply@accountprotection.microsoft.com and no-reply@sharepointonline.com as safe senders to your contact list.
  • Ask your IT department to check for quarantined messages sent from account-security-noreply@accountprotection.microsoft.com and no-reply@sharepointonline.com.
  • If you have already registered for MFA, your email address is linked to a Microsoft service. Instead of requesting a code, you will be prompted to enter your existing account password.
Q: How long is the account verification code valid for?
A: The verification code within the email will expire after 30 minutes. If this time has elapsed, open the email titled ‘SharePoint App shared the folder “XXXXX” with you' again, click on the ‘Open’ folder, click ‘Next’ then click ‘Send Code’.
Q: The folder does not include all my entries/I have made late entries.
A: For any late entries, create your own learner folder and use the following email/contact details depending on the qualification:
  • BTEC qualifications - btec.traditional@pearson.com
  • T Levels - Traditionalprocessing@pearson.com
  • Functional Skills - Centres should liaise with their dedicated Standards Verifier (SV) if they have not received a link
  • Mock Service - assessmentservices@pearson.com
  • General Qualifications International - internationalcontingency@pearson.com
Q: I will not meet the submission deadline.
A: Centres must submit all learner work together for each learner by the submission deadline. If you do add anything later – please notify us using the following email/contact details depending on the qualification:
  • BTEC qualifications - btec.traditional@pearson.com
  • T Levels - Traditionalprocessing@pearson.com
  • Functional Skills - Centres should liaise with their dedicated Standards Verifier (SV) if they have not received a link
  • Mock Service - assessmentservices@pearson.com
  • General Qualifications International - internationalcontingency@pearson.com
General troubleshooting
A:
  • If you have already registered for Edexcel Online MFA, please be aware that if you are responsible for uploading learner work via SharePoint, this is a separate process to be followed.
  • At the 'scan QR code' stage, please do not use the camera on your phone but ensure you scan the QR code from within the Microsoft (MS) authenticator app.
  • It can be easy to miss a step out of the process, and the steps must be followed in order. Please ensure you complete all stages of the process. For detailed MFA set-up guidance, please see: Registering Your Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) For SharePoint (also known as OneDrive).
  • Some customers have reported issues locating the MS Authenticator app in their App Store on their phone, as other authenticator apps are listed, with some apps saying users have to pay for them. This is a free MS app.
  • If you are still waiting to receive the email. Please check your spam/ junk folders and ask your IT department to add do-not-reply@pearson.com to your contact list.
  • If you are authenticating using a smartphone, please use your centre's WIFI network or have a good 4/5G network connection on your phone to ensure a good experience.
  • For users with an MS address or linked MS account and have forgotten their MS password, please see: Reset a forgotten Microsoft account password - Microsoft Support. This directs you to an external MS support page.
  • For common questions please see: Common questions about the Microsoft Authenticator app. This directs you to an external MS support page.
Q: I still have questions.
A: If you still require support, please get in touch with our Customer Service Team either by creating a case or using one of the following numbers:
  • If you are a UK centre, call 0344 463 2535
  • If you are an International centre, call +44(0) 120 4770 696
