Every test order needs to be assigned to at least one room, and each room needs to have an Invigilator assigned. If you do not have any set up yet, follow these steps
Invigilator
1. Under Invigilators, select 'Create New':
2. The login name is the username to log in to the Invigilator Dashboard.
3. The password must be at least 8 characters in length and include at least three of the following types of characters:
- English uppercase letters (A-Z)
- English lowercase letters (a-z)
- Numerals (0-9)
- Non-alphabetic characters e.g. !, £, ?, #, %
4. Ensure the Active box is ticked and click 'Create':
Room
1. Under Classrooms, select Create New Room.
2. Name the room, select an Invigilator from the dropdown list and click Create:
1. Go to the List Orders screen and select a date range that includes the date of your test, then click Search 0.
2. Select Download Package. You will get a message once the download has finished:
3. Go back to the List Orders screen and select Activate Package. After pressing Activate, you will get a message to say that the package has been activated. Do not proceed to the next step unless the package is activated:
4. Select Prepare Assessment:
5. Click on a room on the right, then click the orange arrows to move it to the left:
6. Click the arrow pointing down to expand the room:
7. Select the candidates (you can select more than one by holding Ctrl while clicking) and click the orange arrow to move them to the expanded room:
8. At this point, you can click 'Print learner log-ins' to get a list of the order and learner numbers for the test. You can cut these into individual slips for the learners:
9. Once all the learners are assigned to rooms, with a unique invigilator in each room, select Step 1: Save configuration. You will get a message that the order's allocation state has been saved:
10. Press Step 2: Activate Assessment and you will get a message that assessment is now allowed. When you look at the order status, it will now show 'Assessment allowed':
You can only move on to the next step once the status shows as Assessment Allowed.
1. Log in to the Invigilator Dashboard and you will be able to see all available tests that have been assigned to that invigilator account:
2. The Test Player should already be pointing to the correct Invigilator Dashboard. If there is a Check Connection to Service message, select Start auto discover and select the machine where the appropriate Invigilator Dashboard is running:
Press Test connectivity, and then Finish.
3. The Test Player logs in using the learner and order number for the test, then presses Yes to confirm:
4. The Test Player will then show a message "In order to proceed the invigilator must start the test":
5. Once the learner has logged in, the connectivity status will update on the Invigilator Dashboard. The Invigilator then presses the Start button, which will allow the learners to start the test:
6. The learner can now press "Start Test":
7. Once a learner is logged in and taking the test, the Exam State updates on the Invigilator Dashboard:
8. The Administrator Dashboard Monitor Learner Progress screen will update the Learner Status screen to show tests in progress:
1. For section-based tests, once the learner gets to the end of a section they will have a chance to review their answers for that section. However, after moving on to the next section there is no way to go back to the previous section:
2. There is a chance to review the learner's answers at the end of the test. If it is a section-based test, the learner can review the answers from that section:
In most cases, the learner test will upload automatically.
1. Once the learner has completed the test, the Invigilator Dashboard Exam State will update to show that the test response has uploaded:
2. If for any reason the Test Player loses connection with the Invigilator Dashboard, it can usually bypass the Invigilator Dashboard and still upload. On the Administrator Dashboard, select Monitor Learner Progress under Actions:
As long as there is a green tick displayed, the test response has uploaded successfully:
3. Any learners in the booking who have not sat the test should be marked absent:
4. Once all learners have either completed the test or been marked absent, you can select the Complete Exam option:
5. The status then updates on the Orders Status to 'Assessment Completed':
