We aim to dispatch labels in line with our attendance register delivery schedule, provided your centres entries were made before the qualification entry deadline. However, sometimes registers and labels can be delayed or lost in transit.
We cannot guarantee that labels will arrive on time if entries have been made after the entry deadline. If an entry is late, we will dispatch the register and label within 7 days of the entry being processed.
Further information about UK entry deadlines: Entry Deadlines (UK Centres). If an entry is made less than 7 days before the scheduled exam date, please request a new label to ensure that you can return exam papers as soon as possible.
If you have not received your labels or are unsure which colour label you need, click on the following section(s) for detailed guidance:
Do I need a yellow or a white label?
|
Please be aware that there are two different types of labels for returning scripts. Depending on the qualification and the centre's location, centres will receive either a yellow prepaid label for the Parcelforce collection or a white label:
- The yellow label service is funded centrally by the DfE for centres in England only.
- The white label service is not funded; therefore, centres will be required to cover dispatch/collection costs themselves.
Qualifications covered:> GCSE, AS/A-Level, BTEC, T Level, Functional Skills - Schools, FE centres and WBL centres in England
Qualifications Not covered: International GCSE, Edexcel Awards - International Centres, Wales, Scotland, N.Ireland, Channel Islands and Isle of Man, Overseas British Armed Forces schools.
Please be aware that Edexcel Awards for UK centres are not covered by the yellow label service.
If your assessment is covered by the yellow label service, once you have the required labels to return your parcels, please book a collection via the Parcelforce web portal.

I've not received a yellow label.
Important: If you haven't received your Parcelforce yellow label within a few days of the examination date, you can now submit a request for replacement yellow labels and have it emailed to you within 24 hours using our new Replacement labels order form.
You can also use the Parcelforce website to print your own labels. Please see the links below and a video guide for requesting the labels:
Video guide for requesting a label:
Please print all replacement labels for delivery of your exam scripts to Hellaby Pearson Processing Centre on bright yellow paper if possible.
If your label does not pop-up:
- Please check your browser download folder, some browsers download the label directly rather than using a 'pop-up'
- Check that pop-up blockers are disabled for whichever browser is being used
- Try an alternative browser; Edge, Firefox and Chrome all work.
If you get the error message 'Site is temporarily locked', please clear all browser cache and history, close the browser, re-open the browser and try again or try an alternative browser.
Please note that for security purposes, you will need to use your Edexcel Online registered email address. Labels are only valid for two weeks from the date they're produced, so please make sure you don't request them more than two weeks before the examination date.
You cannot request labels for the following:
- International GCSE
- Internally assessed/externally moderated coursework
- Controlled assessment or non-exam assessment
The initial dispatch of labels can be delayed if exam entries have been made late.

I've not received a white label.
Please note: the white label service is not funded; therefore, centres will be required to cover dispatch/collection costs themselves.
If you haven't received your white label within a few days of the examination date, please return your parcel to the following address:
Pearson Fretwell Road (off Hellaby Lane) Hellaby Industrial Estate Rotherham South Yorkshire S66 8HN
Please use your preferred tracked courier or postal service to return scripts. All returned exam scripts must be sent with appropriate tracking.
You must never use the standard Royal Mail postal system for dispatching exam scripts, as there is no way of ensuring their safe delivery or tracking them.
