Unsupported file formats are prevented from being directly uploaded to the sample request. If you need to upload materials in an unsupported file format, please upload the document to a zip file and upload it.
Files should not be password protected — the application is secure and encrypted.
Please select from the following options:
Use a supported browser
Before you upload anything, we recommend you use one of these browsers for the most reliable experience:
- Google Chrome
- Microsoft Edge
- Safari
Make sure you're using the latest version. Older versions can cause problems with uploads or stop some features from working properly

Upload files in an accepted format
You must upload learner work in a file format our systems support. Check your files before you upload them to avoid errors.
If your files aren't already in the right format:
- you can use free file-conversion software available online
- always convert a copy of the file and keep the original as a backup
Please note: If you try to upload an unsupported file type, you may see an error during upload or the system may reject the file later.

Uploading video files? Check the codecs
For video evidence, your files must use:
- H.264 codec for video
- AAC codec for audio
Videos created with other codecs (such as H.265) won't work and will be rejected. If you need to, use video conversion software to change the codec before you upload. As with file formats, convert a copy and keep the original file safe.
We specify this because H.264 works almost everywhere, reliably, so examiners shouldn't have any issues accessing or watching the video.

T Level file format exceptions
If you're uploading evidence for T Level qualifications, the following file formats are specific to T Level delivery, and we also accept them as exceptions. You can upload:
- Packet Tracer files
- .mpp
- .pod
- .mpx
All other guidance in this article still applies, including file size limits and browser requirements.

Keep each file under 3GB
Each individual file must be no larger than 3GB. This limit applies per file, not to the total size of all files for a learner.
If a learner's evidence includes multiple files, each one can be up to 3GB.
If a file is too large, you can:
- reduce the video or image resolution
- split the file into smaller parts
- reformat or repackage the file so it stays within the limit
You don't need ultra-high-definition video for assessment. Aim for clear and readable evidence without making files larger than they need to be.
