Submitting Non-Examined assessments (NEA) has now moved to the online Learner Work Transfer (LWT) portal. You will no longer need to post material to the moderator/examiner; LWT will be used instead. You will have access to LWT via Edexcel Online and can upload all the material for submission.
You will be able to access LWT via Edexcel Online.
Hover your mouse over 'Learner Work Transfer' and then click 'Examination/Moderation' from the menu on the left side of the page. Do not select a qualification:
Remember, you must enable pop-ups on your computer, and a new window will open with the LWT portal.
Remember, centre marks must be submitted onto Edexcel Online in the normal way before the sampled work is uploaded to LWT.
The centre submission date for the NEA components is 15 May 2025.
By this date, marks must be entered on Edexcel Online, and sample NEA portfolio samples must be submitted on the portal, along with all supporting files and candidate evidence.
An example of the Learner Work Transfer dashboard is shown below; the default view will start on a particular tab.
There are three tabs – To Do, In Progress and Completed
- To Do – New requests
- In Progress – Submission has begun and will have some material uploaded but hasn’t been submitted
- Completed – Submitted. These are read-only and can’t be edited.
You can select between Examination components and Moderation components.
There is also a search box. You can use this to narrow the visible components or find the exact component.
Use the 3 dots to give options for the component or to enter the component to upload material:
There are three main sections where material can be uploaded in the component:
- Administration material – Administrative documents at the cohort level e.g., centre declaration, attendance register etc.
- Shared Files – Files that are used for more than one student. You can use this section to link or unlink files.
- Students – Individual upload section for each student. Linked shared files will also appear.

You can add learners, if needed, using the 'Manage Learners' option:

For each candidate, you can select if they were Present, Absent or No Evidence.
You will only be able to upload material for those marked Present.
You will not need to add anything for candidates marked Absent or No Evidence and will be able to submit the request.
You can either drag and drop files into the grey area for each candidate or use the 'Browse' option to navigate to the files to upload using the file explorer:
Files are then checked to make sure they are in an accepted format and aren’t password protected:
This will result in files being accepted or rejected.
Files can be removed by clicking on the 'X' next to them:
Hover your mouse over the warning triangle to see the rejection message:
- Upload each file individually under each candidate
- Do not upload files as part of zip folders (as this may affect examiners being able to access them).
- Do not password protect/encrypt any of the files (the online submission platform is already fully secured, and examiners will not have access to passwords/encryption keys).
- Each file should follow a set naming convention detailing exactly what the file is:

If you have made a mistake, you can contact your moderator/examiner and ask them to return the request. Once they do this, it will move to the 'In Progress' tab with the status 'Returned', and you will be able to add and remove files:
If the moderator/examiner thinks a mistake has been made, they will return the request to the centre. You will receive an email explaining the action needed.
Please note: Your Examiner/Assessor should have already made themselves known to your centre; however, if you are unsure who you should contact, details of your assigned moderator can be found on the Learner Work Transfer (LWT) platform.
Please see the video shown in the article linked below. The video shows where to locate your moderator details from 1 minute 13 seconds.
If you require assistance contacting your Moderator/Assessor, please contact us, and a Customer Services Specialist will liaise with our assessment team and arrange contact.

Unsupported file formats are prevented from being directly uploaded to the sample request. If you need to upload materials in an unsupported file format, please convert the document to a zip file and upload it.
Files should not be password protected – the application is secure and encrypted..
Proprietary files for DAWs can’t be uploaded with their file extension, and you will need to create a .zip file for these.
