You must formally register your learners with Pearson at the time they are enrolled onto the qualification at your centre. No assessment activity can take place until learners are registered onto the qualification.

The video below demonstrates how to make individual registrations for Functional Skills qualifications via Edexcel Online.

Please note: at 0.09 minute mark, the video instructs you to select 'BTEC', this menu has now changed and you should select 'BTEC & Functional Skills'.

The below information advises what details to fill in within each field on the Register Students page.
 
Centre reference
This field allows you to enter a reference of up to 10 alphanumeric characters for your own administrative convenience.
First names
The first names must be no more than 20 characters including spaces.
Last names
The last names should be no more than 30 characters, including spaces.
Sex
Select either ‘M’ for male, or ‘F’ for female.
Date of birth
This is a required field and should be in the format dd/mm/yyyy.
Planned completion
This date must be in the future and should be in the format dd/mm/yyyy.
ULN (Unique Learner Number)
If you are an International centre, this section can be left blank.
LSC Code
This can be left blank.
Study mode
Choose the main mode of study from the drop-down list.
Collaborative Partner Number
If you are an International centre, this section can be left blank.
Combination
For most programmes, there is only one combination, which will usually be 'A'.
ULN
If you are an International centre, this section can be left blank.
