Storing exam papers
As soon as your question papers have been delivered and signed for, they must be passed immediately to the Exams Officer, who will check to ensure all required materials have been received.
Exam papers must then be locked away in your secure storage facility.
If question paper packets cannot be checked immediately upon delivery, they must be locked away in the centre’s secure storage facility until an authorised staff member is available to make the necessary checks.
Please see the JCQ Instructions for Conducting Examinations document for in-depth secure exam storage guidance.
Important: Information is maintained centrally and may be updated periodically. Always use the linked page rather than saved document copies to ensure you are viewing the most current version.
