The Entry Level Functional Skills Instructions for the Conduct of Controlled Assessment (ICCA) sets out the requirements centres must follow when administering Pearson Entry Level Functional Skills controlled assessments for English and Mathematics.
This includes the secure handling of assessment materials, assessment conditions, invigilation arrangements, access arrangements, assessment recording requirements and quality assurance expectations. Centres should ensure all staff involved in the delivery, administration and assessment of Entry Level Functional Skills are familiar with these requirements before conducting assessments.
Important information: Centres must ensure Entry Level Functional Skills controlled assessments are conducted securely and under supervised conditions. Assessment materials must be stored securely, learners must only have access to permitted resources, and all completed assessments and supporting records must be retained for quality assurance purposes. For Speaking, Listening and Communicating assessments, centres must retain recordings where required for standards verification. Learners who need to re-sit an assessment must wait at least 14 days before taking a different assessment or task.
