Important
Effective from 01 August 2025, the following terminology will change as outlined in Annex B of the Apprenticeship Funding Rules 2025-2026 document:
- Apprenticeship Assessment will replace End-Point Assessment
- Assessment Organisation will replace End-Point Assessment Organisation
- Gateway to Completion will replace Gateway
All the appropriate guidance documents and support will be updated in due course to reflect these changes. Please ensure to use the correct terms when searching for support.
You can update an apprentice's gateway date at any time throughout their EPA journey. By updating this date and your apprentice nears their expected gateway date, the data in ACE360 will become more accurate. This is beneficial in supporting the EPA Delivery team with their IEA forecasting to ensure they have enough available IEAs.
Please note - if you wish to update multiple apprentice records simultaneously, please contact ACE360 Support with this type of request; the team can be contacted by telephone or email.

To edit an individual apprentice's expected gateway date, you can edit the field by clicking on the Edit button. This unlocks editable fields in the apprentice's record as indicated below.
After you have saved the record, the new expected gateway date is visible within the apprentice record and in the apprentice records table.
 | | You can also filter your apprentices by their expected gateway dates, this provides a clear indication of who and how many apprentices are expected to enter gateway.
After the filter has been applied, it shows only your apprentices that meet the criteria you have selected in the filter dialogue box. |
Finally, you can also use the built-in ACE360 dashboard to easily view the number of apprentices due to enter gateway within the next three months. You can simply click on the area and it automatically displays the names of the apprentices, the standards registered on, date of birth, expected gateway date et al.
*It is important to ensure your expected gateway date is accurate and up-to-date, and that you register your apprentices as early as possible to avoid any delays with apprentices being able to undertake their EPA.
