Reasonable Adjustments should be requested for apprentices that require additional needs to be met during their assessments. This can include, but is not limited to:
- Mental health or physical need
- Visual or hearing need
- Long-standing illness
- Social or communication need
- Cognitive processing or other learning needs
It is recommended to prepare and submit reasonable adjustment requests before the apprentice is approved for EPA, ideally 3-6 months before. This is to ensure there is enough time for all the required documentation to be gathered, to process the request and agree on adjustments before the apprentice’s assessment begins and avoid delays.
To submit a Reasonable Adjustment request:
- Please download and complete the Reasonable Adjustments form provided below in your preferred format.
- Upload it along with supporting evidence (e.g., diagnosis report, doctor's letter) to the apprentice's record in ACE360 in the shared documents area.
- Select the blue "View Account Information" button and you will be taken to another screen where you can request Reasonable Adjustments by checking the tick box.
This will appear in Pearson's ACE360 dashboard and will prompt EPA Delivery to review your request. It usually takes 1-2 working days but, in some instances, may take up to 5 working days.
For more detailed and visual instructions on how to request Reasonable Adjustments in ACE360, please check this article.
*Please note that for illnesses that have prevented an apprentice from undertaking their EPA and have resulted in going outside the three-month EPA window, Reasonable Adjustments are not applicable, for this type of scenario, please complete an Extenuating Circumstances form.
