How long does it take for an email or case to be responded to?

5 working days (however on average these are often responded within 1-2 working days).

Gateway evidence has been submitted, what is the timeframe for EPA approval?

We have 2 working days to allocate to an IEA (Independent End-point Assessor), once allocated they have 3 working days to review gateway evidence to accept or reject the apprentice for EPA.

What is the minimum time required to schedule an EPA?

As minimum, 5 working days notice to ensure we have enough IEA availability*
*Some standards require more notice than others due to restrictions in the sector, e.g., Pharmacy, Healthcare, where we ask as minimum 10 working days notice; if you are unaware of the specific timeframe required for the apprenticeship standard please create a case or email EPA Delivery requesting this information.

What is the SLA for an EPA booking request to be assigned to an assessor?

Once a booking has been submitted, Pearson have 2 working days to allocate the booking to an IEA; once allocated to an IEA, he/she has 2 working days to accept/reject the booking request based upon their individual availability. If the IEA rejects the booking the cycle restarts.

How long does it take for a paper-based EPA test to be marked and results released?

5-10 working days for papers to be marked and grades released, however more often than not results are released on average within 5 working days.

When will the final EPA grade be released?

5 working days to release the EPA grade once the final EPA component has been assessed*
*Instances where the timeframe has lapsed due to certain circumstances, the EPA Delivery team will notify the training provider with an updated SLA.
