Paediatric First Aid Certificate for Early Years Educator EPA.png

Apprentices must successfully complete the Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (RQF) or the Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid (RQF).

Alternatively, apprentices can complete a First Aid course delivered by one of the following types of organisations as per the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) requirements:

  • Voluntary Aid Society
  • Member of a Trade Body with an Approval and Monitoring System
  • Acknowledged by the Health and Safety Executive

Please note: The certificate must be valid for 3 years and still in date when the apprentice is entering gateway and must state 12 hours completed on the certificate.
