Yes, the apprentice can take their EPA knowledge tests in the workplace using a paper-based version.
These requests must be requested via a webform, the EPA Delivery & EPA Test Delivery teams will subsequently review these requests and are jointly responsible for assisting with the distribution of the paper-based versions of the EPA multiple-choice tests.
Please ensure a test request is only made after the apprentice's status in ACE360 is at the Approved for EPA status before proceeding further.
A designated invigilator will need to be found in the apprentice's workplace who would be willing to undertake this responsibility. Furthermore, the designated invigilator must not have been involved in the training, preparation, or line management of the apprentice.
The named invigilator will also be required to create a secure file transfer (SFT) account in order to receive the EPA test materials securely, details of the process and further information can be found in the guidance document below.
