Marks for all components are submitted to Pearson as part of certification process for Functional Skills. This must be done once standards verification is complete. If the external verification has not taken place, centre marks for learners will still be accepted, however, learners will not receive certificates until external verification has been completed.
The video below demonstrates how to claim achievement for Functional Skills learners using Edexcel Online.
To sign in, please go to Edexcel Online; you will be asked to enter your usual Edexcel Online credentials, and once you click sign in, a verification code will be sent to the Pearson Authenticator app.

Please note: at 0.07 minute mark, the video instructs you to select 'BTEC', this menu has now changed and you should select 'BTEC & Functional Skills'.
Please note: Once a full-award claim has been submitted, its status will remain pending until eligibility checks are completed, which take place each weekend. If the claim is still pending on the following Monday, please ensure that external verification was completed prior to submission. Should the claim continue to show as pending despite the completion of external verification, please contact Customer Services by creating a new case record.
