All centres delivering Pearson general and/or vocational qualifications must confirm the status of their head of centre and exams staff accounts within the Edexcel Online/Pearson Application Portal at the start of each academic year.

Important: The deadline to complete the Edexcel Online account confirmation is Tuesday 28 October 2025.

Exams staff can access and view the complete contact list, but a user account with one of these roles as either a primary or secondary role must complete the confirmation;

  • Head of Centre
  • Deputy Head of Centre
  • Vice Principal
  • MAT CEO

Users with the following exams staff roles can view the confirmation:

  • Centre Co-ordinator/Administrator
  • Examinations Assistant
  • Examination Manager
  • Examinations Officer
  • MAT Admin

If your centre has multiple subsites, you'll need to confirm the account list for each one separately.

Why is this important?

By reviewing and confirming your Edexcel Online accounts, you’re helping us make sure:

  • only the right people have access to secure information
  • we can contact the right people when we need to
  • your students' data is protected.

Expand the following section for detailed step-by-step instructions on completing your confirmation.

FAQ
Step-by-step process
  1. Sign in with your Edexcel Online credentials at https://userportal.pqs.pearsonprd.tech/. Once you've entered your Edexcel Online login details and clicked ‘Sign in’, you'll be prompted to enter a verification code, which you'll find in your Pearson Authenticator app.
You need the Pearson Authenticator app to complete the sign in process, and you won't be able to access the site without entering a verification code. Need help setting up and using the app? See our Pearson Portal Authenticator article.

  2. Once, you've logged in, you'll see the Pearson application portal home page. Click on the 'My Apps' option:

  9. If, when logged in, you see accounts from other centres within your MAT (multi-academy trust), this is because your account has multiple centre numbers ticked on your Edexcel Online profile. If your profile is not correct, please work with your MAT to correct them within Edexcel Online:

  10. A user with a head of centre account will need to confirm one of the following options for each individual account under the status drop-down next to each user:

Correct - this account is still active, the contact is still working at the centre, and has all access required.

Amend - if you need to make an amendment to this account, your exams officer can make these amendments directly on Edexcel Online for most users. For head of centre or exams officer accounts, you will need to complete an online form to request that we make any amendments for you.*

Delete - this account access needs to be deleted. Your exams officer can remove accounts at any time by selecting the red cross next to the account within Edexcel Online. Please see: Edexcel Online: Deleting Accounts.

    * A separate window will open if the 'Amend' option has been selected. Enter your Edexcel Online login details and you will be directed to the online form to request the relevant amendments:
