FAQ
Q: Which grade will count if a learner has sat more than one attempt of the same external assessment?
A: If learners resit an externally assessed unit, the best grade achieved will count towards their overall qualification grade, not necessarily the most recent sitting. Please note: Due to the terminal assessment rule for BTEC Tech Awards 2022, the external assessment result at the final point of certification is used for learners’ overall result, regardless of it being higher or lower than the previous sitting. Performance table points for centres are reported based on the first point of certification.
