| FAQ |  | Our absolute priority is to deliver overall qualification grades to all learners expecting to receive them on the learner results days in August.
To ensure we can validate, process and award learner results on time, we must set a deadline by which time we need to receive complete and eligible information plus a qualification claim from all centres, for every learner expecting to receive a result on learner results days in August. This is to ensure we can award accurate qualification results on time to all learners.
Unfortunately, every year, a small number of centres do not provide us with complete and eligible information and/or make a qualification claim by 5 July for all learners expecting a result in August. This means we are unable to guarantee these learners will receive a result on results day.
As a result, we have taken the decision to implement a £100 per learner registration missed deadline administration fee for every learner who receives a result on the learner results days in August but whose centre did not provide us with complete and eligible information and/or make a qualification claim on or before 5 July. This fee accurately reflects the work required by Pearson to validate, process, award, and issue late qualification claims on time to these learners.
There are circumstances in which a missed deadline administration fee will not apply, and these are as follows. |
Fees will not be charged where one or more of the following occur:
- Where centres have been in active dialogue with Pearson and have been granted an extension to make a qualification claim after 5 July. Please note: where an agreed extension deadline is subsequently missed, a fee will be charged.
- Where centres are on a quality block a result of Pearson’s standards verification process and consequently have been advised to take action that will take them past the 5 July deadline
