Can a person be the Lead Internal Verifier for more than one course?
Yes, the same person can cover more than one course, however, the golden rule is that no assessor can internally verify their own assignment briefs or assessment decisions. |

Can the Lead Internal Verifier hold multiple roles within a centre?
Yes. Any individual can hold multiple roles such as the Quality Nominee, an Assessor, Internal Verifier or Lead Internal Verifier. The caveat is an Assessor cannot internally verify their own assignment briefs or assessment decisions. |

Can a Lead Internal Verifier work across campuses (multiple sites)?
Yes, one Lead IV can be identified at the main site and work across multiple campuses. Also, the centre should have a very clear process on how working across multiple sites with multiple teams will be managed to ensure day to day quality assurance processes are effective |

Managing vocational quality
For additional help and support for Quality Nominees and BTEC delivery teams, we have created dedicated quality assurance webpages that can be accessed via the Home of Quality Assurance. These webpages provide easy access to quality assurance guides, videos and resources, FAQs, regular updates, training events, live chat with an expert and much more.
We recommend Quality Nominees and BTEC staff join our Quality Nominees Group, here you can ask questions directly to the Vocational Quality Assurance Management team, browse posts/updates and share ideas and good practice with colleagues. | |
