What is a Lead Internal Verifier?
|
It is a requirement for centres to identify a single Lead Internal Verifier (also known as the Lead IV or LIV) for every BTEC programme offered at Level 2 and 3, except the BTEC Tech Awards for first teach from 2022.
The Lead IV acts as the point of accountability for the quality assurance of a BTEC programme. This means they should be involved in the assessment and delivery and have a good understanding of the units being assessed.

What support is available for Lead Internal Verifiers?
|
Please refer to the BTEC Centre Guide for Lead Internal Verifiers.
We have a range of on-demand Continuing Professional Development (CPD) packages and live online events that can be accessed on our Events & Support webpage.
We develop a range of short bitesize videos within a dedicated Quality Assurance playlist on the Pearson YouTube channel. This can include a range of topics to support the role of the Lead Internal Verifier and the BTEC team.

Managing vocational quality
|
For additional help and support for Quality Nominees and BTEC delivery teams, we have created dedicated quality assurance webpages that can be accessed via the Home of Quality Assurance. These webpages provide easy access to quality assurance guides, videos and resources, FAQs, regular updates, training events, live chat with an expert and much more.
