Details of your existing BTEC programme approvals can be found in Edexcel Online. 

Please follow the steps below: 

Detailed Instructions

1. Log in to Edexcel Online, and select 'BTEC & Functional Skills' from the qualification drop-down box in the upper left corner of the page:

 2. Select 'Qualifications Approved' then 'Approved Programmes' from the menu on the left side of the page:

 3. Your centre’s approved BTEC programmes will now be visible in a table on the page:

Please Note: All BTEC programmes carry a registration fee with the exception of Functional Skills at levels 1 and 2.
Functional Skills programming at levels 1 and 2 will instead carry a 'per test attempt' fee, and therefore registration is free.
Up to date Vocational pricing, including Functional Skills test fee information can be found on our website.

The programme-specific details included in the table are as follows:  

  • Code: A unique code used by your centre to register learners to a specific course or programme. 
  • Title: The name and registration cost of each approved BTEC programme. 
  • Level: The level of the programme, including the size (Award, Certificate, Diploma).  
    •  If QCF (Qualification Credit Framework), the information includes the minimum credit requirement for programme completion. e.g. ‘Specialist 13-20' confirms a specialist programme that requires between 13 and 20 credits to pass the course (more specific eligibility information is contained in the programme specification). 
    •  If RQF (Regulated Qualification Framework) or NQF (National Qualification Framework), the information includes the minimum GLH (Guided Learning Hours) required for programme completion. 
  • Approved From Date: The first date your programme approval is valid from.
  • Approved To Date: The last date a registration can be created on this programme.
  • Cert. End Date: The final date a certificate can be generated when claimed.
  • Active: If your centre currently has active registrations on the programme Y/N
  • QAN Number: The Qualification Accreditation Number is the specific identification code issued by Ofqual when accreditation was confirmed.
