Withdrawing Candidate Registrations

You will not receive a refund for withdrawing a candidate as the registration remains open.

Deleting Candidate Registrations:

If your programme follows the academic year, you will have until the 31 December to delete your registration and receive a refund, provided the learner has not completed any units and no test bookings have been made. After this date, you will need to withdraw the learner instead.

  
If your programme does NOT follow the academic year and a registration is requested to be deleted within the 60-day deadline, you will receive a full refund.
If you miss this deadline, you will need to withdraw the candidate through Edexcel Online.

Deletions for Higher Nationals

From 01 January 2023, deletions for all Higher Nationals, regardless of whether your programme follows an academic year, must be made within 49 days of the student starting the programme of study (not from the date of registration). From 01 January 2023 any deletions made 50 days or more after the student’s start date will not be eligible for a full refund.

Please note: If a registration contains any bookings, exam entries or results, a deletion and a refund are not available.

To request a deletion for a programme that does not follow an academic year, please create a case record including all necessary candidate and qualification details.

Withdrawing

If a learner has left the course, but you have missed the 60-day deletion deadline, you can withdraw the candidate through Edexcel Online.

Higher Nationals

From 01 January 2023, if a Higher National learner has left the course, but you have missed the 49 days deletion deadline, you can withdraw the candidate through Edexcel Online.
