For new or existing UK centres applying to offer academic qualifications for the first time, the application process can take up to 23 working days to be able to start running the qualification.
If you already offer one of our Academic Edexcel qualifications, e.g. GCSEs but want to offer another, e.g. GCE, then you will automatically have approval.
Academic qualifications include: GCE, GCSEs, Entry Level Certificate, Edexcel Award, International GCSEs and Project qualifications.
If you are concerned regarding the length of time that an application is taking, please contact a Customer Services Specialist by creating a case record. We will check the current status of your application with our approvals department and update your case accordingly.
