How do I access the sound files and transcripts for live exams?

Sound files for our listening exams are available to Exams Officers for download through our unique live materials Secure Download Service (SDS).

You can access the recordings no earlier than 24 hours before the published start time of the examination. Transcripts can only be accessed up to one hour beforehand.

Your examinations officer needs to have signed up for this service well before the exams are due to take place. This special service is accessed through Edexcel Online and not through the Pearson qualifications website, so you won't be able to access these live materials in the same way you do for other locked, password-protected materials on the website (such as recent past papers).

Please Note: With the introduction of MFA to EOL, all centres can only have one user per Edexcel Online account; hence, with additional security measures Pearson has in place, it will supersede JCQ ICE regulation 4.4, which states, "Email accounts used for secure material access must belong to named individuals or be a group email account accessed solely by individuals authorised by the head of centre to handle secure materials."
