To access your SharePoint folder links using MFA, please see the steps below.
1. An email will be delivered to your inbox from the address
'no-reply@sharepointonline.com' with the title
'SharePoint App shared the folder "xxxxx" with you':
2. Open the email containing a link to your SharePoint folder to upload learner work. Then, click the '
Open' link:
3. The link will open in a new browser window showing the
'Verify Your Identity' message; click
'Next':
4. You must verify your identity using MFA. Please click from the following options:
1. After clicking
'Next', you will be required to use MFA.
If this is your first time accessing a SharePoint folder and you have not yet setup MFA on your device, please see
Registering Your Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) For SharePoint (also known as OneDrive). Please note: If you try to access a shared folder and haven't set up MFA, you will automatically be taken through the MFA process.
2. If your account email address
has been registered with Microsoft, the first stage of the MFA authentication will be to verify your identity. First, you will be prompted to enter your Microsoft email account and password. Then click
'Next':
3. You will then be asked to enter your Microsoft account password; once entered, click '
Sign in':
4. You will then receive an approval sign-in request and will be advised to open the Microsoft Authenticator app on your device:
5. You will get a Microsoft Authenticator app alert on your device.
6. After opening the app, approve the notification by entering the number shown on the computer browser, then press
'Yes':
7. Once approved, you can return to the browser on your computer and will now have access to the SharePoint folder:
1. After clicking
'Next', you will be required to use MFA.

You will then see this 'Sign in' screen; click
'Send Code':
4. The email will be delivered to your inbox from
'Pearson Education, Inc (via Microsoft)', titled
'Your Pearson Education Inc account verification code'.
5. Open the email, and copy the account verification code:
Please note: the code is sometimes referred to as a one-time passcode or one-time password. The one-time passcodes are valid for 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes, the previous one-time passcode is no longer valid, and a new one must be requested by clicking
'Send Code' from the Sign in screen above.
6. Return to the browser on your computer, enter the code and click
'Sign in':
7. You will then receive an approval sign-in request and will be advised to open the Microsoft Authenticator app on your device:
8. You will get a Microsoft Authenticator alert on your device.
9. After opening the app, approve the notification by entering the number shown on the browser, then press
'Yes':
10. Once approved, you return to the browser on your computer and will now have access to the SharePoint folder:
