BTEC Results days - Please see Results Dates: Edexcel Online & EDI File Release Day/Times to confirm when results are available for each assessment series.
EDI files are available in 2 different formats: JCQ and EDIFACT. If you're unsure which EDI file format is required, consult with your management information system (MIS) provider.
If you wish to receive your overall BTEC results via JCQ EDI this summer, please submit your JCQ BTEC EDI results request file by 31 May.

What is a JCQ BTEC EDI results request file?
It's a file, sometimes known as a 7B file, that you send to us so we can create and send your JCQ BTEC overall EDI results file to you on the relevant results day.
Think of the results request file as a message from your MIS to ask our systems to send it the information you want on results day; but it doesn’t submit a claim for them.
If you send us a results request file with your learners’ details but don't make full award claims for those learners, you won’t receive overall results for them on results day. The results file you receive will instead show each learner's grade as a Q (pending) grade.
Once you've sent us your JCQ BTEC EDI results request file, you still need to make a full award claim for each learner on Edexcel Online.
If you need the JCQ format, download the JCQ Results Entry 7B basedata from Edexcel Online and then send us your JCQ BTEC EDI request file via A2C before 31 May.
Please send your JCQ BTEC EDI results request files to us as soon as possible, before the 31 May deadline. This gives us plenty of time to identify and solve any problems before the summer break.
All EDI results files are sent on the morning of the corresponding results day.

Please note: The basedata file is now delivered within two hours to the email address registered on Edexcel Online.

How to get an EDIFACT results file.
If you need to receive your results in the EDIFACT format, you’ll need to have made your student registrations using an EDIFACT registration file (.ERD), and you’ll need to submit an EDIFACT student results file (.ERA) to add a new unit result to the registration.
Please also email eprocessing@pearson.com to confirm that you need an EDIFACT results file.

Please Note: In preparation for August results days, a test file is sent to all centres receiving their results via A2C EDI. These centres will receive an EDI file test via A2C with the naming convention "R*centre number*14.X99". This file will be sent to your centre's A2C inbox by 30 June. To check the file has been received, please go to your A2C inbox and press the "send/receive" button. If the file does not appear in your A2C inbox, please check your logs. If you still cannot see the file, please contact us.
For centres using Bromcom software, you will need to check your 'View All Files' option in the 'Exams A2C Centre Setup' area of the platform. Further support for this can be found in the Bromcom support article: How to check for the Pearson test results file in examinations.
