Where can I find information about A2C & EDI/Basedata?
FAQ
What is A2C?
A2C aims to improve the way data is shared between awarding organisations and learning providers using their Management Information Systems (MIS). The A2C Data Exchange Project is led by the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ), of which Pearson is a member.
What is EDI and Basedata?
Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) is a service for centres that use a Management Information System (MIS). It uses basedata to transfer data between awarding bodies and centres. Here, you can download basedata and find out how to use EDI to make entries and registrations. The main EDI/Basedata support page can be found here.
If you have any questions about basedata, please contact us.
Important Information
A new version of the A2C transport application was made available over a year ago, and centres were encouraged to download this as it supports a more secure transport mechanism.
We disabled any older versions on 29 September 2023, which means you will be unable to connect to the A2C server unless you update to the latest version that is available.
